Common Questions
How are emission factors determined?
We use region-specific emission factors from authoritative sources: CEA for Indian electricity, IPCC AR6 for fuel combustion, and DEFRA for other categories. Factors are updated annually to reflect the latest science.
What data do I need to provide?
At minimum, you'll need electricity bills, fuel consumption records, and business travel data. For comprehensive Scope 3 accounting, employee commute surveys and cloud provider usage data are also helpful.
How is data quality scored?
Data quality scores range from 1 (estimated/extrapolated) to 5 (direct measurement). Higher scores indicate more accurate, verifiable data. The scoring methodology is documented in our Data Quality Framework guide.
Can I export data for external auditors?
Yes. All reports can be exported in PDF, Excel, or JSON formats with complete audit trails, calculation methodologies, and source documentation.
